Michelle Davis specializes in helping professionals manage their careers, from job transitions to leadership development, and every step in between. Her practical and empathetic approach to coaching helps her clients stay accountable to their goals, while helping to remove the internal and external blocks that can get in the way of fulfillment and success in the workplace.

Transforming workplaces through positive leadership is a passion of Michelle’s and is the “why” behind her career as a coach. She believes that if leaders focus on empowering and developing its people first, engagement and productivity will follow.

Michelle has over 15 years of experience in non-profit fundraising and leadership. She has held various development positions at the University of Michigan including in annual giving, alumni relations and major gifts. In her last role at U-M, she served as Director of Development at Michigan Medicine where she led a team responsible for raising philanthropic funds for ground-breaking research and patient care in the neurosciences.

Education & Credentials

Michelle holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Indiana University-Bloomington. She is an Associate Certified Coach with the International Coach Federation (ICF) and a Certified Professional Coach (CPC) through the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC). In addition, she is a Master Practitioner of the Energy Leadership Index (ELI-MP). She has additional experience in team coaching, Gallup Strengths Finder, CareerLeader, Myers Briggs Type Indicator and Stanford University’s Designing Your Life program.

Personal Life

Michelle lives in Ann Arbor, MI with her partner, two kids and their senior goldendoodle Lucia. When she’s not on Zoom, you can find her helping her kids with virtual school, listening to a podcast or audiobook, or working up a sweat on her Peloton bike (all while fully caffeinated).
